A new venture

more chic than shabby weddings!

Wedding stationery - vintage style.
I'm a great believer that planning a wedding should be so much fun.
It's the bride's chance to indulge in all things beautiful.
My aim is to help, by providing a bespoke service, friendly and professional, and to assist the bride in getting the look she wants.
So with a huge amount of designs at my finger-tips, I will be developing ranges which can be modified and adapted to suit the themes and colour schemes of the weddings.
The above range is Victoriana, romantic, vintage and obviously very floral, and very adaptable.
It will be on Folksy and ebay soon.

Long time no blog!! again!!

Where does the time go?? Another new direction and a return to the old one.
I bought a sewing machine with my birthday money as the shabby chic doesn't end with card. I'd been toying with the idea of sewing again but problems with some second hand machine I'd tried put me off and it was only when I bought a new albeit entry level machine that I could get enthused again. So far I've been making some gorgeous lacy pin cushions and a shabby chic style apron - so photos of those later.
A return to the old card-making style - after my foray into sophisticated attempts - and some very popular Mother's Day Cards.

I just can't keep away from pink - but aqua is my second love. I bought some Melissa Francis 6" paper pads and they work so well.
If you like the style have a look at more items in my Folksy shop

retail therapy

Mothers and daughters love shopping together so what better subject for a Mother's Day Card than a boutique??
Don't forget to leave a comment for your chance to win a boxed card - I will post to any country.

...a little birdhouse in my soul..and a freebie

I think there must be a little birdhouse in my soul  because I just love birdhouses - in the garden, indoors as ornaments, just anywhere. So when I decided to make cards with birdhouses it was a real joy - and I'm so pleased with the way the cards turned out.
I will be listing these cards in my Folksy shop over the next few days but here is a preview. These cards can be personalised or adapted for almost any occasion - Mother's Day especially comes to mind.

I hope you like them.
Long time no blog!! must remedy that for 2012 and finally as promised I will send a free birdhouse card to one person who leaves a comment (good or bad!!) in January.

Ephemera Journal

This is a large journal and could have cartridge paper inserted for anyone interested in drawing.

It is slightly larger than A4, holds A4 paper which can easily be replaced with the simple opening devices used.
If anyone has any ideas about other inserts they might like I'd be interested to hear from you.
I have some other fabric featuring chickens which is also French in flavour and which I hope to use for a journal/notebook.

Shabby Chic Christmas Card

I'm dreaming of a pink Christmas - as always!! Don't you think snow should come in pink too?
Well, a series of cards and gift tags featuring pink snowflakes, glittered, soft felt hearts, as well as lace, ribbons and pearls of course help a little.
