Personalised Monograms on Hessian/Burlap

A new product from more chic than shabby, these monograms are not exclusive to brides and their groom but make a fab gift for an anniversary, commemorating the establishment of the family.

The monograms are designed and a proof sent after which they are printed onto hessian.
There are many more designs on Etsy here is a link
www.etsy.com/uk/shop/chicetpetit?ref=hdr_shop_menu
They are fully personalised and customers can choose their text and font styles. They may have the monogram simply printed onto an A3 piece of hessian, stuck onto a backing board to fit into a standard frame or they may choose a frame from the choices I have selected. Alternatively a digital file is available for other products.

Who'll be lucky?

My most popular product of late has been the lottery ticket or scratch-card holders..

 Antique Balloons

Because these are personalised they are great as they double up as a favour and place-card - that saves money on the cost of the wedding or party stationery - and of course they appeal to both sexes and to people of all ages.
These can be resized to fit a standard £1 scratch-card that measures 2.5" x 4" or to a Lucky Dip lottery ticket, both of which can be bought in advance.
Nearly all my Save the Date designs can be adapted to this use.
Here are some of the designs I have ready so far.

Rhapsody Cream (also comes in blue)

and so, in the tradition of buses, along comes another one.

Divine Love
This journal is constructed in the same way as the Vintage Love Story, but with more pockets included for the keeping of photos, messages etc.
Pages can be added, re-positioned or removed.

It has a French flavour -
embellishments include buttons, tags, keys, butterflies, hearts etc
A lovely way to plan and keep your wedding memories.

Finally I have finished the wedding scrapbook I have been intending to create for such a long time.
It serves as a guest book, having pages for guests to sign and as an album with envelopes and pockets for photos.
A beautiful keepsake for your wedding, this unique scrapbook has pages for your guests to write their wishes, for your dreams, promises, secrets, pages for photos or other memorabilia from you special day.

It is embellished with keys and vintage lace and jewellery, tags and buttons.

It is available with or without extra pages at

No bridezillas here!!!

I never cease to be amazed at my customers. Bridezillas must be a figment of TV 's imaginings, because, hand on heart, the brides for whom I have created stationery have been truly delightful.

They have exhibited varying degrees of knowing-exactly-what they-wantedness - from specifying and selecting many details to leaving it all to my judgement.
The satisfaction we both realise is when a design is born simply out of a customer request.
Originally just a Save the Date Postcard, this suite of stationery is Angeline - named after the customer who loved the Save the Date and  requested that I develop the design to include invitations, menus, place-cards (tag-style was her choice and suits the design perfectly), table stationery and a table plan!!

Gorgeous soft pastel shades of blue and pink
- I love this design
- I wish I'd thought of it!!!

Vintage Wedding Invitation - Antique Lavender Roses

A vintage wedding invitation with more to come.

I am really looking forward to developing this into a full suite of wedding stationery. The ornate frame with these pinky lavender roses has a real aged look to it, and put on a base of kraft card, bottle green card and gold card helps to add to the "antiquey" look.
It has a triple bow of lace, ribbon and jute string.
I have already made the Save the Date cards and will make matching RSVP cards, place-cards, Order of Service, Menus and Table-plans.
I will post photos when the suite is ready.

more chic than shabby

...it so is!!

I've wanted to create this invitation for a long time - love the colour combinations of pink silver and white.

Why can't I do grungey????

..much as I love the grungey look I don't seem to be able to create it myself.  On the contrary I go to enormous lengths to clean images up.
Maybe it's because I believe for her wedding a bride will want to have everything perfect. When I started making vintage style wedding invitations I was worried they didn't look dare I say new?? - well I managed to reconcile the old with new but grungey I'll have to work harder at.
In the meantime here are a couple of rustic (is that as close as I'll get?) designs.

Incidentally I paid £21 for a roll of jute string (5" of which I have used in the first design) - my husband seemed to think that was expensive!!!!! Men huh!!! what do men know about these things???

Vintage Wedding Table Plan

Behold - my first attempt!

I am so pleased with this vintage wedding table plan.
I have worked with frames for years, and have made wedding stationery for years so "marrying" the two wasn't really a problem.

But the result exceeded my expectations - the colours work together so well.

Let me know what you think.
